Since 2005, Bluegrass Tradition has been devoted to the timeless sound of traditional bluegrass. Founded by Trevor Boutilier and Karen DeCoste, the band has become a fixture in the East Coast bluegrass community, earning multiple honors at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards (ECBMA), including Band of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, and Gospel Performance of the Year.
Band Members
- Trevor Boutilier – A master of the mandolin and winner of Male Vocalist of the Year, Trevor’s artistry and passion for bluegrass set the tone for the band’s sound.
- Karen DeCoste – With her Female Vocalist Master title, Karen has also been recognized as Bass Player of the Year and Composer of the Year. Her musicianship and songwriting bring depth and authenticity to the group.
- Ryan Dillman – Playing music since childhood, Ryan holds a Masters in Banjo and has won numerous awards. He previously led the successful band Shadow River, and his playing reflects a lifelong devotion to traditional bluegrass.
- Chris Leslie – The newest member of Bluegrass Tradition, Chris brings decades of fiddle experience from the Maritimes, Western Canada, and beyond. His accomplished playing adds richness and vitality to the band’s sound.
