Formed in 2018, Matt Lunn & Echo Mountain have quickly become one of the Maritimes’ most exciting bluegrass groups. With performances across festivals in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario, the band has earned a reputation for crisp harmonies, heartfelt storytelling, and dynamic stage presence. Their talent was recognized when they won Most Promising Band of the Year at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards (ECBMA).

- Matt Lunn – A renowned guitar luthier from the Valley, Matt is celebrated not only for his craftsmanship in building and repairing instruments but also for his artistry as a musician. His warm personality and passion for helping others shine through in his performances. Matt is also an ECBMA Male Vocalist of the Year winner, captivating audiences with his voice and musicianship.
- Brett Decker – A familiar name in the bluegrass scene, Brett has performed with groups such as A New Shade of Blue. His banjo drives the band’s rhythm, while his fiddle playing adds flair and excitement, always drawing the audience’s attention.
- Dave Majcan – With years of experience on bass in both bluegrass and country music, Dave brings a steady foundation and a distinctive, traditional voice. His harmony singing blends seamlessly, anchoring the band’s vocal sound.
- Ryan Harvey – The youngest member, Ryan honed his skills through the Kids in Bluegrass program and with the band Next Generation. An accomplished songwriter, he has twice won Composer of the Year at the ECBMA. His original songs enrich the band’s repertoire and showcase his ability to connect deeply with audiences.
- Andrew Sneddon – A master of the Dobro, Andrew’s smooth and expressive playing adds a new dimension to Echo Mountain’s sound. His artistry elevates the band’s music with heartfelt tones and technical precision.
