Their love for traditional bluegrass music has united this group of brothers, cousins and friends.
Jean-Marc Doiron (rhythm guitar, lead singer and harmonies) is from Acadieville, NB, and began singing at a very young age. joined a band, and has played with several bands since. He also won several “Vocalist” and “Band” awards and released a solo CD, He recorded two other CDs with Canadian Grass Unit. Jean-Marc had been invited to record harmony vocals with many talented singers and musicians as well.
Daniel Doiron (banjo, rhythm guitar, lead vocals and harmonies) is also from Acadieville, NB, and started playing music with his brothers at a very young age, playing the guitar, then banjo at age 14. Over the years, he played banjo, sang lead and harmonies in several bands, the last two were the ‘’Doiron Brothers’’ and ‘’Route 126’’.
Laurie Chevarie (mandolin, lead vocals and harmonies) was born in a musical family from Acadieville, NB. He loved the music from a very young age and joined his first band as a teenager. Laurie performed in several groups, preferring traditional bluegrass, he’s always had a passion for singing and harmonies.
Dave Noel (bass) is originally from Moncton and now resides in St Antoine. He attended his first bluegrass festival at the age of 6 and developed a passion for bluegrass music as a teenager. Dave started with the guitar and by the age of 18, he turned his attention to the bass. He has since played with many different musicians and groups, including Nova Scotia’s The Bluegrass Unit.
