A New Shade of Blue
While A New Shade of Blue has been on hiatus for the last five years, they wowed audiences for 23 years straight with tight harmonies and driving bluegrass from traditional and contemporary sources. The band has been asked on several occasions to reform or put on a reunion, but having first formed at the Annual Nova Scotia Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Festival in Ardoise all those years ago, they felt that anniversary year and location was most appropriate to do so, making thier appearance a homecoming for the band and their fans. Joining band regulars Dean Simm (mandolin), Todd Macumber (guitar), Brett Decker (banjo, fiddle), and Terry Mumford (bass) will be Dean's daughters Allison and Keyleigh Simm - whose vocal performances will keep you on the edge of your seat!
