Maritime Drive formed after a late night jam session in July 2022 at Evangeline Bluegrass Festival and consists of four friends having fun playing the music they all love!
Louis Cormier started on the bluegrass scene at the age of 6. In 2005 he became a member of the renowned Bluegrass Diamonds who he continues to perform with today, totalling an impressive 19 years and counting! An impressive musician and singer, Louis also had the chance to perform country music, backing up artists like Georgette Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Brian Mallery, Daryle Singletary, Dionne Pride and more!
Ryan Harvey has been around the bluegrass scene for some time now and previously played with the Kids in Bluegrass program as a founding member of the band “Next Generation”. Aside from Maritime Drive, Ryan also currently plays with Matt Lunn & Echo Mountain. He is an active songwriter who has written various songs performed by the bluegrass band, and has won composer of the year twice at the ECBMA. In recent years, Ryan has had much success with his solo country singing and songwriting, including releasing multiple singles on streaming services.
Gabriel Hebert holds down the five string banjo in the band. A well rounded musician, Gabriel is a master at almost every instrument, but absolutely a master on the banjo! Also contributing great vocals to the group, Gabriel is currently studying Bluegrass at East Tennessee State University.
Jeff Nauss is a 5 time guitar player of the year at the ECBMA’s. He has been on the scene for a number of years, with guitar as his primary instrument. From time to time has been known to grab the mandolin, banjo, or bass as well as providing vocals. Jeff is an alum of other Maritime bluegrass bands such as Constant Connection, Eight Wheel Drive, The Bluegrass Unit, and has filled in with Third Harmony and the Bluegrass Diamonds.
