Matt Lunn & Echo Mountain

Matt Lunn & Echo Mountain has been together for 6 years now and has had the opportunity to play at various festivals throughout the Maritimes. The band is well known for their ability to tell a story through their music, and crisp vocals from multiple Members in the group winning “Most Promising Band of the Year” at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards (ECBMA).

Matt Lunn is a well renowned guitar luthier in the valley and produces quality work not only in his profession of the art of guitar building and repairing, but also for his musicianship. His clients know he has a fantastic personality and passion for helping others. Matt is also an ECBMA winner of “Male Vocalist of the year” and continues to impress audiences.

Brett Decker is a familiar face to the world of bluegrass music and has hit the stage many times over the years with bands such as “A New Shade of Blue”. He is able to drive the band with his banjo playing, and with the flick of a bow on a fiddle, capture the audiences attention.

Dave Majcan is also no stranger to the rain. He has played bass for many years, not only in the bluegrass world, but also in the world of country music. Dave has a unique, yet traditional, bluegrass voice and when he sings harmony, he fits right into the pocket!

Ryan Harvey is the youngest member of the group who previously played with the Kids in Bluegrass program including performing with the band “Next Generation”. He is also an active songwriter who has written various songs performed by the band and in his solo career of country music. He has won composer of the year twice at the ECBMA and can captivate the audience with his songwriting. Ryan is proud to have this band be a part in making his music come to life.

The newest member of the group is Andrew Sneddon. Andrew is a well established Dobro player who plays the instrument with ease and perfection. He brings the music to a new level of heartfelt and is an amazing addition to the group.
