Maritime Drive formed after a late night jam session in July 2022 at Evangeline Bluegrass Festival and consists of four friends having fun playing the music they all love! Louis Cormier started on the bluegrass scene at the age of 6. In 2005 he became a member of the renowned Bluegrass Diamonds who he continues to perform with today, totalling an impressive 19 years and counting! An impressive musician and singer, Louis also had the chance to perform country music, backing up artists like Georgette Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Brian Mallery, Daryle Singletary, Dionne Pride and more!

Three gals had an opportunity to sing together on stage and that seed grew into a full blooming flower. Meet the Sunny Mountain Gals. Janet McGarry, the first Canadian Daughter of Bluegrass and ECBMA Female Vocalist Master brings her beautiful vocals and musicianship to the band. She currently leads the Janet McGarry Band. Janet McGarry grew up in the small rural community of Iona, PEI and music always filled her childhood home. She started performing at an early age with her father Peter and brother Raymond singing in the little country halls at benefit shows, churches and dances. Storytelling was a big part of her heritage and Janet had an affinity for songs that told a story. When Janet was introduced to bluegrass music she felt the authenticity of the music. Encouraged by fans and friends, she went on to record in the year 2000, the first of thirteen bluegrass recordings and many professional appearances and accolades.

Jean-Marc Doiron (rhythm guitar, lead singer and harmonies) is from Acadieville, NB, and began singing at a very young age. joined a band, and has played with several bands since. He also won several “Vocalist” and “Band” awards and released a solo CD, He recorded two other CDs with Canadian Grass Unit. Jean-Marc had been invited to record harmony vocals with many talented singers and musicians as well.

Known as Canada’s International Bluegrass Band, they featured a tight brother duet vocal style that was immediately recognized for its energetic and distinctive sound. They went on to release 12 albums, including four very successful releases on Mountain Fever Records. These Mountain Fever recordings played a large role in the world wide recognition that would follow. The brothers have charted four number one hits, countless awards at the Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Music Awards, as well as nominations for three IBMA Awards, including Emerging Artist and Song of the Year.
